Our Story

(The Evolution of NTGG)

NTGG was born in the college days of our founder. When Paul was a sophomore, he realized he had a void that could only be filled by basketball. So he decided to try out for the Stephen F. Austin’s men’s basketball team. The tryout earned him a position as a walk-on player. As the season progressed, Paul recognized the importance of having a scholarship. By the time he was a senior, he was awarded a full scholarship. At this time, he gained a deeper appreciation of basketball, an understanding of his athletic talent, and the great opportunity that was afforded him. He also realized that his athletic ability was not earned. While he may have maximized what was given, he did not do anything to earn it. This revelation led him to his new-found life philosophy: Never take the gift for granted.
